Business Broker Services

Have a problem in your business? Come to us.

When something in your business is not as it should be — a licence, a contract, a tenancy, a dispute, or a matter abroad in Cyprus — the practice is here to help you put it right. By appointment, in confidence.

Mr Lakis Petrides, Company Director — Business Broker Services.
01 For Owners & Operators

For owners, operators & landlords.

For those running cafés, restaurants, hotels and children's homes — and for the landlords behind the premises they occupy. The practice offers brokering, licensing, management counsel and the careful handling of tenancies and contracts.

Each engagement is taken on personally; each conversation is held in confidence. Where a matter turns contested or sensitive, it is addressed with the steadiness the moment demands.

The eight practice areas
02 For Clients in Cyprus & Overseas

For matters abroad — chiefly in Cyprus.

Long-standing commercial relationships in Cyprus, with trusted local advisers and on-the-ground presence where matters require it. Property, hospitality, tenancies and contracts — handled with the same care as a matter in the South East.

Equally for clients elsewhere overseas whose interests cross the United Kingdom and another jurisdiction.

The Practice

Eight things we do — and nothing we don't.

A deliberately narrow practice. We take the matters Mr Petrides has lived himself — and decline the rest. Each engagement is personal, each conversation in confidence.

01

Business Brokering

Sale, purchase and transfer of established trading businesses — valuation, qualification of buyers, negotiation and completion, conducted in confidence.

02

Contested & Sensitive Legal Matters

Steady counsel on commercial disputes, partnership breakdowns and regulatory difficulty — with referral to suitable solicitors where formal instruction is required.

03

Café & Restaurant Licences & Management

Premises licences, alcohol and late-hours, and the practical day-to-day of running cafés and restaurants — from site and lease through to sale.

04

Hotels Management & Contracts

Hotel operations, management agreements, franchise terms and supplier contracts — alongside acquisition, lease or disposal of the property itself.

05

Tenancies

Commercial and residential tenancies — negotiated, restructured, renewed or terminated, with attention to the covenant on either side.

06

Children's Homes

Counsel for operators of children's residential care — drawn from direct experience as director of Courage Children's Home Ltd.

07

Overseas Contracts — Cyprus

Commercial counsel for matters abroad — chiefly in Cyprus, where long-standing relationships and local advisers stand ready alongside us.

08

Commercial Finance & Negotiation on Your Behalf

Working capital, term debt, refinancing and bridging — sourced from lenders chosen for terms, not commission. And, where wanted, negotiation conducted on the company's behalf so that you do not have to sit at the table.

The Practitioner

Mr Lakis Petrides

Company Director

The practice is led by Mr Lakis Petrides — restaurateur, hotelier, commercial and residential landlord, and director of Courage Children's Home Ltd. He has spent forty years in the trades he advises on, and is a recipient of the Queen's Award from his earlier career as a contracts manager.

With long-standing commercial activity in Cyprus alongside his work in the United Kingdom, he brings to every engagement the breadth of someone who has held the owner's seat himself — across hospitality, property, care and contracts.

That breadth is the practice's character: experience that has been earned, not read.
